Visit from Grandma, Grandpa, and Cousin Will

We were home from Virginia for a week and Grandma and Grandpa arrived from Washington and brought our nephew, Will, with them.  We did fireworks for the 4th and then headed to Branson for a week.
The kids and I checked out the 4th festivities on post while Leevi prepped our bbq and waited for the grandparents to arrive!

Leevi found a 3-bdrm apartment in Branson using our timeshare and it was awesome for everyone to be able to spread out!  We all definitely enjoyed the tubs!!!!

The weather was hit or miss, but we made the most of it and got out when we could!  We went down the road to fish and this little turtle kept the kids occupied while waiting for the fish that didn't bite!
Professional fisherman!

The kids had TONS of pool time!!!!!
Lunch in bed, why not??!
Obstacle course while we were trapped in the hotel on a rainy day!
Branson is famous for their shows and the Dixie Stampede didn't disappoint!

The dinner show
The food was plentiful and yummy!!!!

We bought two-day passes to Silver Dollar City (the amusement park in Branson) but were scrambling for good weather days to use them.  We finally bit the bullet and went on Thursday but got soaked beyond belief!  We went to the Harlem Globetrotter Expo to keep dry and by the time we got out the sun was shining!  There were two hours left for the park being open and we were able to zip through the rides since everyone had left because of the rain.

Our feet were ridiculous after being water-logged in tennis shoes all day!  It reminded me of how E.T. and Elliot looked when they got sick, ha!

Plentiful sunshine the next day!!!

There were a few water rides and misting areas, but a maintenance worker set out a small sprinkler in the kid area of the park and that was just as fun!!!

This firestation with blasting balls was amazing and Luke definitely would have stayed there all day!

But he was also perfectly content with playing in the dirt while the big kids went on the coasters!
The girls and Will went on everything they were tall enough for!
And Luke even did some scary rides because he was naïve to the drops, ha!

We attempted to go one of the lakes in Branson, but the water was too high from all of the rain, so a park ranger told us about the community pool and it was awesome $4 fun!!!!!

We got back to the house on Sunday...
Leevi's parents didn't leave until Tuesday, so we were able to go to the Ozarks on Monday and rent a boat for the afternoon!
It was a super hot day and the lake water was an amazing temperature, so we stopped often and jumped in!

So much fun!
Luke's "trick" jump was to jump covering his eyes!  :)

We were sad to say goodbye to Grandma, Grandpa, and Will, but we are always looking forward to their next visit!
