Comedian Kailee Part IX

Kailee had her 2 yr well baby check up on the 7th and she weighs almost 28lbs and is 34 inches tall. (Hailey at 2 was two pounds lighter and a half an inch shorter). Kailee is definitely a lefty...colors, eats, kicks all with the left. Leevi does quite a few things with his left hand-brushes his teeth, cuts with a knife, and plays pool (he can't use his right comfortably for those things) and he also can hammer and saw with both hands. His brother (who is here visiting) and is 4 yrs older than him, told us that teachers pushed Leevi to use his right when he was little. Very interesting...could explain his chicken scratch handwriting! :) Nowadays they even have websites for left-handed learners. I've bookmarked a few to keep on file for when Kailee is older...a good one was http://www.lefthandedchildren.org/ It has letter formation guidelines (for example when right-handed people make a capital T, we draw from left to right on the top and then down, but a left-handed person draws the top from left to right and then down. I read some horror stories on there about children's left arms being tied to their bodies so they wouldn't use their left to write...crazy what they used to be able to get away with in schools! :)

Kailee and I are going to try and get into more of a set routine now that Hailey will be going to preschool everyday. It was hard to keep a flow of things when she was only going MWF because she barely had many full weeks that there wasn't a holiday/teacher workday on a Friday or Monday.

Kai is definitely more of a handful then Hailey was at this age...tantrums, coloring on walls, play too rough with Hailey, etc.! :) Maybe she's got to fight for the attention as where Hailey didn't! Yet, she definitely makes us laugh and she's an exceptional singer and dancer! We went to the bathroom together and then I walked out to do the dishes and then it was quiet....you know there's trouble when a two year is quiet! Kailee always dances in the kitchen while I'm making dinner and forces me to dance with her in between prep and cooking! This time she got Leevi to join her! :)

Her latest favorite thing to play is "I have a surprise for you!" She hides something behind her back and makes you close your eyes. And then she wants you to do it to her (with the same object) Over, and over, and over!!!!
