Leevi had a last minute TDY (Temporary Duty) trip near the Edelweiss Resort that we've been to several times over the past year. He was able to book lodging at the resort so the girls and I tagged along for free! He travels a lot with his current job but the extra pay makes it worthwhile and it's fun when it's close enough for us to join him. He was there from Sunday to Friday but the girls had dance and soccer (and school!!) so we didn't get there until Wednesday. Leevi had to work all day so we kept ourselves busy touring Garmisch and lots and lots of swimming!!!!! We go from the heated pool to the outdoor hot tub to the sauna (only for a minute or two...sad that my two year sounded like a spoiled brat asking to go to the sauna!) :) We hung out during the day with the wife and daughter of one of Leevi's co-workers and we also ran into an old Hawaii friend who is now stationed in Italy who was there for the conference. She said she has plenty of room for visitors at her home....Italy here we come! Rasheedah and I decided to be adventurous and rented bikes to ride to the Partnach Gorge. We were told it was only a 45 min. walk from our hotel but it took us at least an hour on bikes! Hailey and I rode tandem (so cool!) and Rasheedah pulled Kai and her daughter, Gabrielle, in a bike trailer. Kailee wasn't a big fan and screamed "Get me outta here!" practically the entire ride there! Ughh!!! We even switched bikes and she still wasn't having it! Shortly into our ride we spotted this waterfall on the side of the road and stopped to give Kai a break from screaming! :) Rasheedah and Gabrielle (she'll be two in September)The gorge! Very cool waterfall and limestone rock walls! Notice the almost non-existance guardrail! I carried Kai the entire way and made sure Hailey passed people on the wall side and not the water side!!!!!!!It was beautiful! We didn't make it to the end and I'm not sure how much further we had to go but I didn't want Hailey to poop out on me! We will definitely go back with Leevi sometime!
