April is flying by before our eyes and while we are SWAMPED with soccer all of April, we were able to squeeze in some Easter fun!
At school, Kailee had to write the reason why she liked Easter..."I like Easter because on Easter Jesus came alive" :) Makes my heart happy!!!! :)
The kids received a bunch of Easter goodies from my parents...
Luke was laying his eggs
Luke was a little too excited to get outside and decorate eggs after bathtime! :)
We tried dying some white plastic eggs, but it didn't work out too well!
They still had fun though!
We decorated them instead!
Our church had a Resurrection event on Good Friday and the kids had a great time going station to station learning about Jesus's final days. The last room was the party room...He is Risen!!!!
We went to dinner afterwards at Colton's Steakhouse because the girls had free kid's meal gift cards from basketball...can't beat free steak!!!!
The Saturday before Easter we did our real egg dye...thankfully the kids had so much fun at church the night before and got so much candy that they were willing to forgo the community egg hunt and just relax at home! Ahhhh, music to my ears!!!!!
That night we made Tomb Rolls to represent Jesus going to heaven! (marshmellows and dinner rolls)
A very yummy lesson!!!
The girls left a note to the bunny asking them to hide their baskets upstairs and the eggs downstairs. The bunny was pretty tricky this year and hid them pretty well!!!
Hailey made a specific request for the bunny to hide hers extra hard!!!! She gave up after about 10 minutes and asked for help!
The bunny brought each of them a Lego set. Hailey thoughtfully put Luke's together first before she started hers! :)
This was Kailee's first set that she completed on her own with any help!
Luke "helping" Hailey build hers!
After the Legos were together, we headed downstairs to hunt for the eggs that the bunny hid!
And then off to church!!!!
My crazy boy!!!!
Happy Easter! (And when did Hailey get so tall!??!! She has on wedges in the photo, but so do I!!!!!)
