Missouri Fishing

Our favorite part of Missouri so far is the family fishing trips!  When I say that there isn't ANYTHING to do in our small town, I'm not exaggerating!  Thankfully, we all love the outdoors and enjoyed getting out to the river on the weekends in the summer and through the fall.  Since we are finally settled, we will definitely sneak in a few camping trips too once it warms up again.
Happy Hollow on post...
 Another spot on post...
Kai accidentally caught a minnow when she was reeling back in!

Lots of frog catching too!!!

Leila went with us a few times!

We river hopped around town until we finally found a perfect spot on post...it's secluded and peaceful and shallow the entire way across until about 10 feet from the other shore.

A spa treatment!

The girls catch minnows for him in a net!
We went back in the fall for a little photo shoot but there wasn't much of the shore left!

Our fall wasn't unbearable and we even had a few weekends in the high 70's!   This is my favorite!!!!  So blessed!!!!!!!!!!!
A main fishing spot on post on a rare 80+degree October day!  I took this picture right before Luke fell in over his head!!!  He went to step to the rock that Kai is sitting on and the leaves deceived him and he thought it was land!  Yikes!!!
This spot has a waterfall dam to the right of them, so it's fun to throw leaves into the water!

Odds and Ends...

Sigh, still playing catch up! :)

Aunt Megan and Uncle Isaiah (Leevi's brother) were our 3rd visitors to come see us shortly after we got stateside!  They made the L.O.N.G. drive from Washington State and we loved having them!!!
Or tormenting them, I should say! :)
A little playdoh fun!!!!
We made a road trip in August before the girls started school down to Dallas for Aunt Carlo's 60th birthday!
Lots of cousin time!

Of course we had to stock up on some Cowboys gear at the Walmart right across the street from the stadium!

Texas brothers, sister and parents!
We got the hook up with the Heberlings from the Greens and got to spend a few summer days out at Amy's dad's farm!
Crafting together!
I followed this awesome tutorial for creating a world map and then I added stick pins for the places we've lived and travelled!
Blue is for where we've lived, Red for where we've vacationed, and Green for where Leevi has traveled for work.
Best way to relax in the summer heat!

Leila came fishing with us a few times!

Luke's first trip to the dentist!  He did great despite the look on his face!  I think he looks a lot like my brother, Mike, in this picture with his big brown eyes!

Everyone had a clean bill of health!!!!

We reupholstered our old dining room chairs and since our basement has so much room, this table is our craft/game/special treat dinner and a movie night table!
Cowboys Nation!
Helping me bake banana bread!
Catching bugs!
Lunch date with Kai at school!
I told Luke that he needed to clean his room and he threw everything that didn't belong in there out into the hall! :)
I help out in Kailee's classroom after school on Thursdays when the girls have baton....Mr. Luke does great at keeping himself busy!
More of Kai's crafts around her room!
Silly boy!!!
He L.O.V.E.S. riding in Daddy's truck!!!
