Hailey's 9th birthday

How is it possible that she's N-I-N-E???!!!!!!
We are so proud of the confident, intelligent, beautiful, and responsible young lady she is becoming!
She was such a pain trying to get a photo of her for the "interview" above! :)  I told her that all of these were going on the blog!!!

She woke up on her 9th birthday for the FIRST time in the time zone that she was born in!  Leevi and I woke her singing "Happy Birthday" at exactly 7:00am, the time she entered the world 9 years ago!!

We had snow days all week and she was excited to head back to school on Friday on her birthday!
Luke wanted a picture too! :)
We brought cupcakes to Hailey's class at the end of the day and then she requested pizza for dinner and a family movie and popcorn night.

We ate and opened presents when Leevi got home from work: she got a new desk, desk supplies, an electric blanket (her request, ha!), and lots of new Lego Friends.
Since we had cake the previous weekend with the Greens and cupcakes at school that day (and cake the following TWO days for bday parties!!) she opted for cinnamon rolls, yum!!!

Her 9-yr old patience was put to the test by putting together a 365 piece Lego project with two 'amazing' helpers! :)
All done!!!
On Saturday, we celebrated Ethan Heberling's 8th birthday in Springfield at Chuck E Cheese.
Hailey was also able to go into the Ticket Booth since it was her birthday.
Luke had a blast!
And then on Sunday to complete the weekend birthday fun, we went roller skating with Bri and the Heberlings.
Luke wanted to give it a try too!  Thankfully, adults were allowed on the rink (in shoes!!!!!) to assist!

She had a little help!

The skating rink also has a bouncey area that was PERFECT for Luke!  (And an arcade and lazer tag that we didn't do this time)

Hailey Flashback!

A few pictures from Hailey's first month and crazy travel!!!!!!

We spent a few nights in lodging after our house was packed up...Hailey was 5 days old here.
Then we stayed a few nights with the Baez-ans (and sweet Charlie boy!)

Leevi and Leila started the drive West and Hailey and I flew to Miami for my grandfather's funeral.
Makelina...Hailey's great-grandmother...she's 94 now and living in Virginia near my parents.
After a few days, Hailey and I flew to Washington state to Leevi's mom's house.
4 generations...
Grandma and Hailey
Great-Gramma and Hailey
Her first bath!

Ha, do I look like a tired new mom who had been in 3 different states in 3 weeks???!!!
Such a chunker from the get-go!!!

So sweet!
Meeting Aunt Naomi in Seattle on our way to Hawaii!!!!

And Uncle Josh!!!
And we are off again!!!!!  Before she was a month old, we flew to Hawaii to get Hailey and I checked in to start our Hawaii BAH and COLA...we returned to Washington to then wait out Leila's quarantine.  So make that 4 states in less than ONE month!
A-loooooooo-ha!!!!!!

We had to say goodbye to Leevi on Hailey's 1 month birthday...we would see him again in Korea on her 3rd month birthday!
Girl's night in Makakilo with Hailey and Kaila Dennis

Kristine Bonsack and I checked out the set where they were filming LOST!
I really can't remember how long Hailey and I vacationed in Hawaii before flying back to Washingon but it was at least a week after Leevi left.  To be continued....
