Snow day (turned week)!!!!!!!

We woke up on Monday, President's Day to about 3 inches of snow (They were predicting 5-8, boo!)  Thankfully it was a holiday and the girls didn't have school and Leevi didn't have work!  School was cancelled Tuesday because the roads were still bad and cancelled on Wednesday because we got another inch over night, and then cancelled on Thursday because of negative temps!  It's a bummer that our school year got extended past Memorial day because of these snow days, but we had a fun week and enjoyed the time off!!!!!

So much prep just to get out the door!!!!
Snow angels!

Such pretty snowflakes!!!
Hailey helped Leevi shovel the driveway!
The little hill in our yard is perfect!!!
Kai's snowsuit was tight when she put it on in November (the first and last time we had snow!) but it really didn't fit at all this time!!!!  She was pretty miserable!!!

Spinning down the hill!
He LOVES the snow and is probably the best fitted with gear...we put fleece footed jammies under his snowsuit and he stayed so toasty and lasted about 2 hours outside!!!
Hailey made herself a chair!
We finally tied her suit around her waist and then she wore her coat...it didn't stay up all that well, but she made do!!!
So sweet!!!!!
We built a little bump at the bottom of our hill!
Kailee's snowcastle...we didn't have any luck with the snow packing well for a snowman, but we were able to pack it into a sand bucket with some success!!!
The next day we headed to the big hill at the United Methodist church a few streets away...apparently this is THE hill to come sledding on in this area!  Thankfully, we missed the big crowds the day before and the kids had a blast and wore themselves out walking up with hill each time!!!
Bellywhopper!!!!
Ethan Heberling!
Rachel Heberling...she and Hailey went down multiple times together!
Snow day #3 the girls ventured into the backyard while Luke was napping and worked hard together on a snow fort!  We modified my snow bib to fit Kai by criss-crossing the suspenders over her head and tying a hair tie around the extra material on the legs (if you look close around her knees you can see the knots!)  It surprisingly worked really well!!!!
It was cold, but the sunshine helped!!!!!!
After about an hour, Kailee noticed a little bunny in the log behind them...Hailey didn't believe her at first!!!!  I guess it didn't mind the girls' noise!!!
So proud of their fort!!!! (And the bunny is mere feet away!)
