Baby Photo Books for the Girls

I've been meaning to create two baby photo books on Snapfish for over a year now with month to month pages of all of the "firsts" during the girls' first year of life. Having the evenings to myself over the last two weeks that Leevi has been gone I've been able to finally sit down and do them. Snapfish had a buy one get one free offer when I started them but I wasn't able to finish it in time. They are 25% off right now so I haven't decided if I'll order them or wait to see if there is a BOGO offer again...I've waited this long whats a few more days, weeks, months, years! :)

Here are the links; I don't like that it links you to my editting page...just click the PREVIEW on the left to view them without all of the boxes, etc.

Random Pictures and Tidbits

She wasn't in timeout...this was her hiding spot..."If I can't see you then you can't see me, right?"Who needs the Christmas toys that came in these boxes? They played with this "train" probably longer than they will play with the toys on Christmas! Needy Leila decided to plop her bum right in the middle of our Princess Memory game Don't think she's as excited about the holidays as we are! :)
A paper from Hailey at school...she has written "bed, chair, pillow, rug" and drew a picture of each.
I call Leevi my "Dish Fairy" because he always cleans the kitchen...Hailey decided to help me out one night since Leevi is out of town.
A playdate with Andra and Charlotte from next door
I said, "Wow, Hailey, is this a monster?" She replied, "No, it's Daddy!" :) With a heart nose!
And I few pics I stole from the Iverson's collection from their trip here...
At Buffalo park
In Rothenberg
At the cathedral in Worms
And my favorite tidbits from this month...
*When Kailee is looking for some snuggle time she'll say, "Hush little baby me, Mommy"
*Kailee asked me for some scissors when I was making dinner one night and I told her no yet then she preceded to grab a chair and try to get the scissors herself. I told her no again and she went crying to Hailey. Hailey gave her a hug and then said, "Its ok Kai, but you need to listen to what Mommy tells you." :) It made me smile! Although I wish I had recorded it to play for Hailey when she whines about not getting what she wants too! :)
And my favorite!
*Leevi went to the Cowboys/Saints football game on Thanksgiving day with his Dad, brothers, and nephews. I told Hailey that we need to watch the game on T.V. and see if we can find Daddy. It confused her at first so I tried to explain that he isn't playing he's just watching the game. Her eyes lit up so bright and she exclaimed, "You mean Daddy's a cheerleader!!!!" :)
Random video clips...you'll see a little clip of Kailee singing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus...it will be a miracle if that Baby doesn't get lost this holiday season!

And more dancing from Kai! I'm sure you are sick of watching Kailee dance but I can never get enough of it! :) And that purple skirt is her new favorite dress-up article!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Thanksgiving turkeys from storytime at the library. Hailey made a cute picture that is still hanging at school that says "I am thankful for my family" with a drawing of all of us.
Apple peel tongue!
This forecast has already changed to snow everyday! Hailey (and me!!) check my iphone forecast all the time!
The girls' FIRST snow ever!!! Not sure if we will have a White Christmas but we had a White Thanksgiving! Hailey has seen flurries but has never played in the snow before. Not like this really counted because we barely got a dusting, but it was pretty exciting! Hopefully Leevi will make it home before we get a big one...
First snowangel of the season! :)

First snowman! :)

The end of the snowman! :)

Ready to head to Turkey Dinner at a friends' house...

I love Leila eyeing the camera...

I didn't like these shoes with this dress but I've learned to pick my battles!
They both crashed on the half an hour drive to the Kents...singing Jingle Bells one minute and out the next...love that they are holding hands!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are thankful for the Army (seriously!)...we've loved the world travel it has brought us, the friends we've made from all of the moves, the job security/health insurance, and the fact that Leevi was able to visit his Dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving during a work conference back in the US.

Wrap up of Soccer

Hailey's soccer season finished a few weeks ago but I've yet to blog about it. She had fun and is looking forward to the Spring Season.Kailee even played in a few games and really understood what to do (she was actually a better listener than some kids on Hailey's team). She got taken out pretty hard in one of the games by a rough kid and she cried but wanted to go right back in. When it happened again we made her quit and she was so upset! She's beyond tough its crazy! (Take note that Baby played soccer too!)Taking a warm up lap...these pics are from my iphone and it was getting dark fast! Kailee is in the back running the lapKick off!
Hailey's first trophy! (She got a medal her 1st soccer season) Kailee was really disappointed that she didn't get one too! She stood up there somewhat expecting one! Coach wasn't sure if she would have enough but she gave Kailee a soccer tshirt instead...she loved it and had to put it on right away!
On the walk home Hailey let Kailee hold her trophy (and then she fell asleep!)

Tidbits and a Movie

I was looking for a picture to add to this post but I don't have a single one...what in the world have I been doing? The weeks and months are flying by and our daylight time is getting shorter and shorter. We are anxiously awaiting our first snowfall!

I have a few tidbits I thought I'd share before I forgot them. I'm having some spacing issues so I tried to color the text according to the comment...

#1 Hailey: "Dad, I think I want another sister" (Not said in a mean way...she just wants me to have another baby! This is the first time she's said sister...usually it's a brother named Nicholas)

Kailee: "I'm your sissy, Hailey. Are you my friend?"

#2 Hailey: "Mom, I wish you didn't sign me up for school"

Me: "It's a rule....all kids have to go to school when they are 4-18"

Hailey: "Is that just your rule?"

#3 Sometimes at bedtime Hailey will ask me to tell her a story instead of reading one and I usually start off by saying, "Once upon a time a little girl wouldn't go to sleep when her mommy asked her too..." So, tonight she said she'd tell me a story...

Hailey: "Once upon a time there was a Mommy who had two girls and their Daddy was gone on an airplane and the Mommy was soooo exhausted..."

She stopped her story short because I started to laugh...I wonder how it would have ended!

And some random video clips of the girls...

This video ends with Kailee lining up her Strawberry Shortcake dolls and yelling at Leila because Kailee thought Leila was going to mess with them...she calls her Bubba so I wanted to list all of our nicknames for our silly pup...she has more than the girls!

Leila Marie, Bubba, Bubba-Boo, Leila Lou, Bubbalou, Fat Pup, Stink Pup, Bubbie, Bub, Bubbawaba, PupPup

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

I took the girls recently to two different castles to try to get some pictures for our Christmas card. I thought I was pleased with the pictures from the first castle (Berg Windeck) but I didn't LOVE the way the girls' Christmas dresses looked with the ruins...and I wasn't completely in love with any one picture. We tried again later that week at Schloss Heidelberg and I was sooooooo happy that we did. It was the last sunny day we've had in awhile and there weren't very many people around to clog up my backgrounds! ;) I thought I'd put the pictures on here that I didn't use in our card since I ended up getting so many good. On the card I've put most of them in black and white but I will definitely be printing some for the house because the Fall colors were gorgeous! (You should be able to click on most of the collages to make it larger)

From Berg Windeck

From the Heidelberg Schloss....loved all of these!

Hailey said, "mom, is this a beautiful pose" :)

Kailee decided she was over it and stripped down!
Kailee was yelling at me to put the camera away, "NO CHEESE, MAMA!"
