ProSoc Academy

I signed the girls up with ProSoc Academy...it's sponsored through the military but it's coached by a German Professional player.  They practice once a week (no games) but are probably getting so much more out of this type of session than a team with larger numbers and a parent volunteer coach (not knocking the parent volunteers at all and are so grateful for their commitment!)  Hailey has 5 kids in her Monday session after school and Kai has 4 kids on Wednesdays during the day.  Kai was the only one at the very first clinic she went to, so she had a private session before we switched her to a new time.  I was worried that she would be shy being the only kid, but she did great.  The coach commented several times at how surprised he was with her level of coordination!  And a cute tidbit...on our way home I asked Kai if she remembered her coach's name and she replied, "Yes, it's Sebastian"  I asked her how in the world she remembered that and she said, "You know, Sebastian the crab from Ariel"  LOL!!!  Love the thought process behind that!!!!

The trainings are in a warehouse mere minutes from our house...it's great because we won't ever have to worry about the weather but right now it makes it difficult with Luke because I have to hold him the whole time (the floors are nasty)  I did bring a blanket one week for us to sit on, but then I couldn't see the field because of the fence they have up.  I've made attempts with him in the stroller but he doesn't last long if we aren't moving!
I must note that Hailey doesn't totally love it!  It's hard!  Really hard!  But the technics they are getting exposed to are absolutely wonderful!  The scrimmage at the end makes her come back each week though!  :)  And a tidbit from Hailey...she was getting frustrated on some footwork drills they were doing (similar to how you see football players runs through tires...she had to hop on one foot, side, side, forward, then switch feet and repeat and she was trying to go too fast)  So that night at dinner she says to Leevi when we were trying to explain the reason behind these types of drills "It's not important who the fastest is, just like it doesn't matter what color your skin!"  LOL!!!!!  I didn't have a reply!  :)
I got a few more pictures of Kai than of Hailey because the director was getting her baby fix with Luke during Kai's session!
