Dino Park (Gartenshau)

We've visited the Gartenshau a few times while we lived in K-town, but it was never warm enough to play in their water features.  We made sure to squeeze it in on our final "to-do" list in Germany.  The Americans refer to this park as Dino Park and we really have no clue why the dinos are there!  We joke that a family got together and created the park: the mom wanted beautiful gardens and fountains, the dad wanted a lake to fish in and shade trees to nap under, the teenager wanted a skatepark, the little brother wanted dinosaurs, and the little sister wanted a playground.  It has it all!!! :)  And this is where we went ice skating in the winter and to the pumpkin art festival in the fall.

I guess this was precursor for what was to become of our summer days here in Missouri!

This water area is pretty awesome with pumps and gates and the kids have to work together to keep the water flowing.

Man, do we miss the German playgrounds!!!!!  :(  We have two city parks within a 10 min. drive, but they just don't compare! :(
These slides are soooooo steep and say 6+, but even Luke went down them!

 Fishing with a baggie! :)
