Pungo

We spent 3.5 weeks at my parent's house in Pungo.  We all had a blast and the kids can't wait to go back.  My parent's neighbors have multiple farm animals (and 3 little girls!!!!) so it was right up the kids' alley!

Flower (the pony), Sunny (the horse) and Donkey (the donkey)
Luke absolutely LOVED this little motorcycle that my mom found for .50cents at a yard sale for my brother, Mike, over 30 years ago!!!!!  And take note of the awesome jungle gym that my parents built this summer for the kids!
Both girls loved this "go-cart"
I had my fair share of shopping sprees and told my mom that I wasn't allowed to set foot in Michael's anymore on that trip! :)
The best way for a man to shop!!
The kids pulled multiple toys and games out of the attic and this ridiculous game from my childhood called Pig Pong was a big hit! :)
With the help from my mom, the girls knitted their own winter hats while they were there!
We all got a hair trim and the girls had some color extensions added.

Sawyer, the neighbor dog...he came by everyday to visit Leila
Playing out front

The neighbors also have chickens and each of them begged to go chase them everyday!

So many crafts!
I think she was laughing because she had turned my dad into a fairy with an app on her phone!
Oh that baby boy!!!!
Many volleyball games!
Jungle gym fun!
Leila and Sawyer hanging out...Leila had to be on a leash because she'd always sneak away to go chase the chickens!!!  She got to the point where she didn't want to take a walk and would refuse to leave the cul-de-sac because she only wanted to go see the chickens! :)
Grooming time...they were in heaven!!!!!!!!!

Flower getting a make-over!

Katherine let the girls ride Sunny by themselves...best day ever!!!
Another countless pet next door...Albert, the bearded dragon!
A beautiful (and perfect climbing) tree at a park after dinner one night!
Lots of pool time!
And sunbathing time!

Crazy girls!!!

Riding my old scooter!
 Fort fun!!
Many, many, many nights of Dominos!
Legos!!!
Lego men!!
The girls next door, Millie and Augusta
S'mores!!!!
Tie-dying t-shirts...they turned out awesome!!!
My 94 year old grandmother came over for dinner (and we went to her place to swim and have lunch also)
An attempt at a group photo!

I love this one in the front of my parent's driveway!  Much more to come on our summer in Va....

Roadtrip to Va

School was out for just a few days before we headed to Virginia for a few weeks.  Leevi drove us and then flew home and came back to get us 3 weeks later.  The packing and the trip itself is always so daunting, but we all had a ton of fun!  Even though we have been in the States for a year now, it's still difficult to wrap my head around not stressing about remembering passports or flying in a foreign country and knowing that I can just go to Walmart if I forget something!

Luke was very helpful in vacuuming the van before the trip and it only took me twice as long. :)
Leevi was still on crutches for the trip over, but thankfully not on the return trip!
The ridiculous travelers...it helped that we mapped the trip out where they'd see some great friends at each stop, so the miles on the road didn't phase them!
Crazy dog...she had her own spot with her own comfy bed, but took a snuggle nap on Hailey at one point.
The first stop (after 6 hours) was in KY at the Greens!!!!  We stayed there from Friday-Sunday morning...fun for ALL!

The future Mr. and Mrs. :)

The Lukes
 The gang!
Allie was about 3 weeks away from turning ONE, but we snuck in her cake bday shoot anyway!  She was quite the willing participant!!! :)
We hit the road again on Sunday for an 8hr drive to Richmond...even though it's just 2 hrs longer than the 6hr trip to KY, a few gas stops and a lunch or dinner always make it about 10hrs!
The Faison girls were still in school, but our girls got to play with them a bit Sunday night and then for about 2 hrs Monday afternoon before we took Leevi to the airport and headed down to Va. Beach.
Will and Luke had fun together and we were able to see them again for a few days at the end of our vacation!  To be continued....

End of School 2015

The school year always flies by so fast and I can't believe we have a 1st grader and a 4th grader now!!!!!!!  I was just as excited for summer as the girls just to be able to slow down a bit!

Last day of 3rd grade!
Hailey with Ms. Simpson
Last day of Kindergarten!!!
Kailee with Mrs. Holmes (she always begged to wear her fake glasses to school so I told her that she could on the last day!)
Selfies to keep him occupied during Kailee's graduation ceremony!
Luke's last day with Carter
To celebrate we went roller skating in Rolla!

And we had to say goodbye to Hailey's good friend Caitlyn :( but we are anxiously awaiting to hear about their adventures in Germany for the next 4 years!
It officially looked like summer pretty quickly....t.v...
experiments...
and water fun!!!!
We couldn't have been more blessed with the girls' teachers this year...here's to a relaxing summer!

End of May 2015

We've been out of town for all of June, so I've got lots of catching up to do!

Longest way to spell "o.k." :)
We made Flubber with Borax and glue and it worked great and is still usable.
Kailee had an end of the year field trip to the zoo in Springfield...this is her friend Lyla!

I was able to chaperone with Rachel and Luke
The zoo was pretty small, but the kids enjoyed it.  Feeding the giraffes was the biggest hit!
 Check out that tongue!!!!
He was really nervous about turning his back on the giraffes!!
This little stinker comes into our room every night at some point...sleeping on my pillow like a cat is one of his favorite positions!
Where's my spot??!
We opted to eat dinner at home on my birthday and the kids volunteered to cook for me (I'll have to remember for future birthdays that it's easier to go out!) :)

These kiddos make me feel young!!!
Spidey!
Kailee and I had a date night while Hailey was at a sleepover...she really is crazy!!! :)
A selfie I found on my phone!! :)

Baton Performance

The girls had their final baton performance of the season at the Waynesville High School girls soccer game last week.  They both did a great job on their routines and really enjoyed it.  They've said that they want to do it again next year...such a unique experience!!!
