Memorial Day 2011

On Sunday we drove 3 hrs with the Dozier Family to visit the memorial created to honor the memory of the 76,890 American soliders who were wounded or killed during the Battle of the Bulge

Battle Buddies

The woods were covered with these foxholes and it was just unbelievable to wander around. We had intentionally watched the Band of Brothers episode on Bastogne and the Battle of the Bulge the night before. It was an amazing way to spend part of our Memorial Day weekend remembering those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom today!
