Daddy's visit

Leevi was able to fly home over President's Day weekend.  He got in late Thursday night, so we had all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday with him and he left around noon on Monday to drive the 2hrs back to the airport and fly to Va. It was a great weekend and not too rushed or too hectic.  We got in lots of family time and we super sad that he had to leave.  He'll be back Easter weekend!

We celebrated Hailey's birthday a week early with just family.  She spent the following weekend celebrating on her actual birthday with Riley and double sleepover nights (here and there) and then this coming weekend we'll have her party with friends from school.  Talk about spreading out the birthday fun!!!!!
She commented that she's old enough to light her own candles!
Present time!!!
She's still into Lego Friends.  Ten was a hard year to buy for!
Clue game
New jacket
She got a few MC^2 experiments.
Family bowling for Hailey's birthday

She has talked about karate-chopping her cake for years so we figured a first double digits birthday would be suiting!  It'll definitely be a tradition now for when each kid turns 10!  We did it with the family cake (after she washed up to her elbow!) It wasn't as dramatic as we thought it would be...I'll have to tweak the recipe/design and have it perfected by the time Whitney turns ten!
Sweet smooches for Whitney's first Valentine's Day!!!!
I LOVE how this turned out!
These were some other cutie faces that I liked...I had originally taken the photos with the white wooden backdrop, but I didn't like how the letters blended it.  Thankfully Whitney doesn't care yet how many times it takes to get a good photo!  I love her silly piggy toes in the top set.
:)
Leevi helped Luke build a rocket fort.
And we played lots of family games throughout the weekend.
On Valentine's morning, church was cancelled because of icy roads, so we had time for a big breakfast complete with homemade chocolate covered strawberries.
The girls set up a fancy Valentine dinner for us downstairs and retreated upstairs to eat their own dinner so we could have privacy, oh my so sweet!!!!!  They even kept Whitney upstairs for us!  But Luke decided that he needed to eat with us, sweet little man!
And then we watched a movie together...Goosebumps, not exactly a romantic comedy on Valentine's day, but the kids liked it.  It was pretty scary and Luke kept hiding under his blanket.  I asked him if he wanted me to play upstairs with him instead and he said, "nope!"
