Getting Ready for Halloween

We gave up on trying to find a pumpkin patch and I broke down and just bought some from the commissary (for really cheap too!) We've seen one pumpkin patch near Heidelberg close by the military post but I don't think it's anything like ones back home with hayrides, pony rides, etc. It has gotten so cold so fast I didn't think it'd be worth the trouble to have the girls pick their pumpkins (basically so I could get a picture!) Maybe we'll try to remember to go earlier next year! We decided to carve our pumpkins the night Rachael and Sarah arrived...it was fun and the girls were really into it and unlike when Hailey was two, Kailee just dug right in!
Kailee was a little bit too scary with her pumpkin "knife"...she repeatedly stabbed her pumpkin (sound effects and all!!!)

Happy Halloween!!!The girls are going to wear the Old Navy $2 steals of a costume that I found on clearance last year!!! And I must add that they are going to be super toasty Butterflies with the thick fleece Old Navy uses and they are plenty roomy that we can layer up underneath and not have to hide their costume. Our first flurries are projected for Wednesday so hopefully come Saturday night it might warm up some! Trick-or-Treating here on post will be Saturday, not Sunday and apparently our neighborhood is the place to come (I guess it'd be too difficult in the stairwell apts) The military police shut down the neighborhood to vehicles so it should be a fun evening without the worry about traffic!
