Halloween 2014

After an unseasonably WARM fall, Halloween was FREEZING!!!!  It was such a tease to go from shorts for weeks to a high of 30 on Halloween.  The kids still had fun though!

We almost ran out of time to carve our pumpkins, but squeezed it in two days before Halloween.
This was the first year in a long time that we didn't do the cool, yet time-consuming stencil patterns.  The girls drew their own faces and carved them themselves, so we are definitely sticking to the old traditional way for a few years!
My favorite picture from this fall!!!!  Gotta love the cheese and the sword tucked in his undies!
Hailey had to design a pumpkin like a book/character so she chose The Boxcar Children.
We had a trial run on pirate face paint, so the girls took it to a whole new level afterward.
The picture BEFORE we had to layer and bundle up!
Argh!!!!!!

Sigh, she's too old!!!!!!!
Pirate Luke and Spiderman Cody...the Heberlings came over for pizza and Trick-or-Treating
She wanted this parrot for her costume, but he really didn't stay on very well! (And Leila the cheerleader stayed behind because it was so cold!)

Hailey's friend, Bri, joined us to head around the neighborhood!

We lasted about an hour and then headed to our church for a festival they had set up!  Luke and Leevi stayed behind, but the girls loaded up on even more candy!
Bri came back with us for a sleepover!
The best part of the night....candy trading!!!!!!
