Family, Friends, Food and Fun!!

It's been a whirlwind of festivities here in Hawaii over the past two weeks. I've wanted to blog about everything that has been going on, but haven't had the chance. This post will probably be pretty long, but I'll try to catch you up on everything.

The Luau: Leevi's dad's family was in town for Christmas and Leevi's change of command ceremony. We took them to the luau at Paradise Cove. Here are some pics...

Merry Christmas: The holidays were a lot of fun this year with Hailey understanding more. It took her forever to open her presents because she wanted to stop and play with each one!

Our night at Turtle Bay: Leevi and I had a gift certificate for a round of golf and a night's stay at Turtle Bay resort. Our wonderful friend, Rachael, watched the girls for us while we golfed and went to dinner and then drove (almost an hour one way!!!) to us and dropped the girls off for the night. The next morning we got up and went to the pool and headed back home. It was my first time golfing since about a month before Kailee was born. I was pleasantly surprised with my golf game, but it was raining on and off so we only played 9 holes.

Hailey was sad because she couldn't hold the bird like at the luau!

New Years Eve: The friends of ours who stayed on island for Christmas (or came back) came over for a little New Years Eve bash. The ladies polished off quite a few bottles of wine while the guys played poker out back, smoked cigars and helped themselves to the keg! Hailey went to bed but was woken up at midnight from the insane noise of fireworks! Hawaiians don't mess around...we've been hearing fireworks go off since Thanksgiving!!!!!!
