Hailey's gymnastics tournament

Hailey took gymnastics this past year through the Army (while Kai's was through the Air Force) simply because those were the first openings for each on the waitlist.  Next year, we are going to attempt to get them both into the same class for 5-7 yr olds with the Air Force.  I like the Air Force's facility better and it's close to home!  AND the end of the season exhibition/tournament is really what sold me.  Kai's was just run soooo much more efficiently...short and sweet and done in an hour, but Hailey's was an actual competition and it lasted 3 1/2 hrs and Hailey was performing for literally less than 2 minutes of that time!  Slightly painful to sit through with the kids (and through naptime!!!!) BBBBBUUUUTTTTT, we'd do anything for Hailey and she had a blast.  We really didn't know what to expect starting the day and she was nervous about performing in front of a large audience (when we walked in and saw so many people she said, "you told me that it would just be parents here!!!"  I replied that they are just parents, but that there are A LOT of kids taking gymnastics in other classes!)  They had been working on their set routines for the last few weeks and each kid had to get up there and do it on their own.  Talk about nerves!!!  :)  Hailey did great and came in 4th in her bracket!!!!!
